Any good book series like these?

Sounds like The Hunger Games would be good for you. There's two books out in the series, the third one will be out this August. I'd also suggest Unwind by Neal Shusterman. It's not a series, but it's got action and just a bit of romance, and the topic of the book is extremely thought provoking.
