What's everything to know about becoming a Dental Hygienist?

Well i Live In reno, NV and im trying to find a carrer to make my life better and i want to get into the dental industry, i either wanted to become a dental istant but i heard an Hygeinest is alot better and pay good..How long is school for? How much do you really make? what are the pros and cons? please help me :)
