Birth control question?

I'm on Seasonale now, but I keep getting breakthrough bleeding pretty badly. She told me I could switch to a pill where I only get my period for 4 days (there are just 4 placebo pills). I said no, I wanted to try the Seasonale a little longer. But today, I started bleeding brown blood again with one big dark clot. First off, is that clot an okay thing, or is it bad? Also, what are the brands of pills out there that have 4 placebo pills? I want to do some research first. I know of Yaz, but I also know people are having a lot of issues with it. So, are these 4 day period packs safe?
