Do women consciously think "How long can I use him before I need to move on to another man" Or....?

I try to be upfront and honest with guys I do not like. Sometimes though, these men ignore my honesty and construct fantasies of their own where none exist. I try to be gentle in letting them down but sometimes they hang on psychologically. So, it is not ''how can I use him until next man comes along'' it is '' I do not like this man. I made it clear. We are still friends though but I'm still waiting until the next man whom I like more comes along so I am more ''into it'' comes along. This guy by proxy acts as a sub boyfriend without the until then''. I try to be honourable but that is usually how the situation materialises. If you're not into someone, you're not into them.
