How can we stop ppl frm bieng un-evironmental frndly, if dey live in a big complex?

ye baat toh sab ko pata hai ki...using plastic is harmful...but unhe control mein kaise laaya jaye...matlab unhein kaise samjhaya jaaye ki...stop doing all this lyk cutting trees, dispose plastic in dustbins...plz help me!!
