Proactive solution help?

over the summer i had developed severe acne then a few months later my mom ordered me proactive, the first day i it helped a tiny bit, later on i realized something wasnt right my skin wasnt changing, ive been proactive's member for 6 months it hardly helped. Can someone tell me what is happening the booklet and commercial show that this product truly helps or have i just built an immunity, i dont want to discontinue because what if this product really helps
